What is an EV Charging Station?

An EV Charging Station is a unit that supplies electric energy for the recharging of a plug-in vehicle. They come in a variety of sizes to fit the individual charging needs of a specific vehicle.

What is required for a charging station installation?

Mr. Electric will complete a site assessment to evaluate the existing electrical and see if it will be able to support the installation; this site visit is also important for us to determine what is needed for the installation. A quote will be given to the customer at this time.

Upon approval, an appointment will be made at our customer’s direction and the work completed. Once the work is completed an inspection is required and a Certificate of Inspection will be forwarded to the customer.

Does installing an EV Charging Station require an E.S.A. permit to be obtained?

Yes, because wiring is required to be run to the location of the EV charging station, a permit will be required.
